why It matters
Your essay shows what scores can't. The work you’ve put on your GPA, SAT, and AP scores is essential. It gets your application into a certain pile: eligible. That is a huge step. BUT, that pile still has hundreds or even thousands of applicants with similar scores. This is why telling them a compelling story is so crucial.
